Google AppEngine
Being a c#, php, and mysql developer mainly I thought AppEngine would be a nice change to try out …. the guess paid off.
The obvious downside to AppEngine is being restricted, but I see this as an upside… for someone who hasnt done that much python before its a great way to get into things. Ive got admit it, im liking python… im a greate believer in readable code (indenting code, sensibly named variables) and python sort of forces you to do this. Ok its not new and i do that in other languages anyway but it intregues me more from a “what if i had to maintain someone elses code” aspect… and i think I can see why such a big company like google would put a lot of eggs into that one basket.
